Heritage Leeds property build in the rarely seen Art Deco style, set to be brought back to life
The property designed in Art Deco style of the 1930’s to house philanthropist Lord Brotherton’s chemical business was not built until 1956. It was subsequently acquired and occupied by West Yorkshire Police as the Leeds Police Headquarters from 1962.
Brotherton House, purchased by us during the recession in 2012 is now evolving through design, planning and construction phases for student accommodation with our partner Study Inn Group; a highly experienced and successfully national student accommodation provider.
Planning permission has been granted for the conversion of Brotherton House to student accommodation and to construct an adjacent, 15-storey building linked at ground floor to provide 350 student beds. The accommodation will include a gym, spa, cinema, games room, yoga room and lounge areas.
